San Polo is San Marco's offspring, the same pure silk and the same crinkled damask construction at roughly half the scale: 37 cm vertically against 64, 35 cm across against 70. Shrinking a baroque figure changes its manners. What reads as grand on a full curtain drop becomes something closer to a repeating ornament, easier to place in a room that is not a piano nobile.
The sixteen colourways are named for stones, from agate through to opal, which tells you how the palette works: mineral, saturated, more extrovert than the parent cloth. 140 cm wide, 160 g a metre, made in Italy.
