Irregular spots stand up off the ground in low relief, close in spirit to the glass murrine of the Venetian architect Carlo Scarpa: a section cut through something, rather than a drawn circle. The relief comes from a cord yarn, which also explains the hand. This is flame-retardant polyester that feels like cotton, matte and dry, with none of the sheen the fibre usually brings with it.
