Rubelli | Second Firing 3

Two of the Second Firing designs are built on exactly the same cloth, and this is one of them: forty per cent cotton, a quarter viscose, nine per cent metallic yarn, all of it on an eco-nylon warp, at 450 g. What changes between the two is the drawing and the colour. That is a sensible way to build a capsule and an unusual one in a range this decorative.

The drawing came from the glazed surfaces of Dalpayrat ceramics; the colour came from Paolo Veronese. Peter Marino chose both. It repeats every 94 cm up the drop and every 70 cm across, at 140 cm wide, in one version, and can be upholstered as readily as it can be hung. Made in Italy.
