Rubelli | Second Firing 4

Lightest of the ten at 410 g, which changes what it is for: this one will hang, and hang in soft folds, where the heavier designs in the group want a flat surface or a frame behind them. The repeat is nearly square, 69 cm by 70 cm, so it covers evenly and forgives a seam or a corner cutting through it.

Peter Marino built the Second Firing capsule out of Dalpayrat ceramics, taking pattern and texture from their glazed surfaces and colour from the paintings of Paolo Veronese. Cotton weft on an eco-nylon warp, with metallic yarn worked in for the gloss. One version, 140 cm wide, for upholstery or decoration. Made in Italy.
