Eco-nylon in the warp is not a decorative choice. It is the structural half of the cloth, taking the tension on the loom and the wear afterwards, while the cotton weft supplies the face. That is why a fabric which feels like cotton behaves rather better than cotton would.

As with the rest of the Second Firing capsule, the pattern and the texture come off Dalpayrat ceramics and the colour comes from Paolo Veronese. This is one of the designs Peter Marino left without any metallic yarn, so the surface stays matt throughout. A 125 cm vertical repeat against 70 cm across, 490 g at 140 cm, in one version. Made in Italy.
