Rubelli | Second Firing 8

Heaviest of the ten at 570 g, and the weight does what weight does: it sits square on a seat, takes a proper edge on a cushion, and will not move much on a curtain. One per cent of it is metallic yarn, a thread rather than a treatment, enough to lift the glaze effect without turning the surface reflective.

The Second Firing designs all come from Dalpayrat ceramics, whose glazed surfaces Peter Marino enlarged into pattern and whose colours he matched against the paintings of Paolo Veronese. Eco-nylon warp, cotton weft, a 125 cm vertical repeat by 70 cm across, 140 cm wide, offered in one version and rated for decoration and upholstery alike. Made in Italy.
