A 54 cm vertical repeat is short for this capsule, where most of the designs run to well over a metre, and it makes this the one to reach for when the cloth has to go round a frame. Small repeats survive being cut about; long ones do not.

Pattern and texture taken from the glazed surfaces of Dalpayrat ceramics, colours taken from Paolo Veronese, both chosen by Peter Marino, and a cotton weft carried on an eco-nylon warp. Five per cent metallic yarn gives the glaze its gloss. 420 g at 140 cm, in a single version, for upholstery or decoration. Made in Italy.
