Shibori is a dyeing technique, the Japanese relation of tie-dye, and what it produces is geometry that has been interfered with. The figure here is a diamond, broken up along its length into a series of segments, so the grid never closes and the surface keeps the small errors that hand processes leave behind.
Printed on a nonwoven ground, 70 cm wide in 10-metre rolls with a 40 cm vertical repeat. Six colourways, four of them strong enough to carry a room on their own, which is unusual in a collection that mostly stays quiet. Certified to EN 13501-1 and ASTM E-84, and tested to EN 12149. Made in Italy.
