Stuoia is Italian for matting and the weave lives up to it: irregular, open, closer to plaited plant fibre than to a manufactured cloth. It is woven from an iridescent viscose with linen, and because the two yarns take light differently the colour is never uniform, mixing and remixing across the width in a way no print reproduces.
Woven at Rubelli's own mill, bonded to a nonwoven ground and sold by the metre at 120 cm wide, in four colourways, with a stainproof finish. Certified to ASTM E-84 and tested to EN 12149. Made in Italy.
