Chenille yarn has a short pile spun into it, and used at this density it stops behaving like a chenille and starts behaving like a velvet: 878 g a metre, thick enough to hold its own shape. Rubelli built it for upholstery.
Both faces are usable and they are not identical, the two sides being differently constructed, so one order gives two options. Viscose-led, with a 12 cm vertical repeat, 130 cm wide, nineteen colourways. Made in Italy.
