The weave is built to stand off its ground rather than lie flat against it, so the surface has real depth and takes a shadow. High on a wall, where light rakes across instead of falling straight on, that is the difference between a texture that reads and one that disappears. It looks like a natural fibre and it moves like one.
Formafantasma designed it, and their habit of letting the material carry the design without imposing a pattern on it is the whole of the thing here. A textile face on a nonwoven ground, sold by the metre at 130 cm wide, in three colourways. Certified to EN 13501-1, ASTM E-84 and IMO 5, and tested to EN 12149. Made in Italy.
