Rubelli | Teddy

Long-pile wool velvet, and the length of the pile is the whole of it: the surface moves under a hand, shows the direction it was last stroked, and reads as fur from across a room. Rubelli's own note is that it exists to be touched, which is unusually direct of them. One colourway, 610 g a metre, 22,000 Martindale and rated for heavy use. 140 cm wide, woven in Czechia.
