The source is Zanni, one of Rubelli's most-sold lampas, and two things have been carried over from it: the silky surface, and the worn, abraded quality the cloth takes on where the figure breaks up. Across a wall it has something of the stone it is named for, banded and softly veined and never quite the same twice.
The palette is held to non-colours with one dark green standing outside the run. Cloth on a nonwoven ground, sold by the metre at 135 cm wide, with a 54 cm vertical and 67.5 cm horizontal repeat. Soil-repellent finished and tested to EN 12149. Made in Italy.
