Rubelli | Vello D’oro

Renaissance weavers combined the depth of velvet with gold thread, and this chenille is the result of Rubelli going back through that work. The chenille yarn gives a striated surface, close-packed and directional, and three percent metallic thread runs through it so the striations catch light along their length rather than all at once.

750 g on a 130 cm width, with 22,000 Martindale, which places it in light to medium upholstery: a chair, a headboard, cushions, rather than a sofa in daily family use. Twenty colourways, running from the naturals through to coral, ruby and amethyst. Made in Italy.
