Rubelli names this one for a sheep's fleece and the surface earns it: woolly, soft-faced, with the density of something shorn rather than woven. There is no wool in it. Acrylic carries the handle, with cotton, polyester and viscose making up the rest, and the technical fibres are what take it to 50,000 Martindale at 860 g a metre.
That combination is unusual, since most cloths this soft to the eye will not stand that kind of wear. Ten shades, held to the naturals from ivory and stone through to charcoal, with one blue. 140 cm wide, made in Italy.
