Coloured geometric shapes butt against one another here, drawn hard and fast rather than leaded into a picture: a stained glass window with the piety taken out of it. The units are small, a 7.5 cm vertical repeat against 3.5 cm across, so the surface reads as a shifting mosaic rather than as shapes you could count.
It is a jacquard chenille, which is why it feels like a velvet and weighs 1100 g a metre. At that weight it sits down onto a chair rather than stretching over it, and the chenille pile gives back the softness the geometry would otherwise deny.
