A watermark shows itself as a change in density rather than as a mark on the surface, and that is more or less how this behaves: a very finely drawn filigree carried entirely in low relief and matt weave, with no shine anywhere to help it along. It asks for daylight from the side, since flat frontal light will flatten it out.
Woven at Rubelli's own mill and bonded to a nonwoven ground, sold by the metre at 135 cm wide, in six colourways, with a stainproof finish. Tested to EN 12149. Woven and finished in Italy.
