The hammered surface is a finish rather than a weave. The satin is worked so that light breaks over it in small facets instead of sheeting off it evenly, the way chased metal behaves, and underneath is a dense cotton and silk at 431 g, plain and unfigured. It has been in the collection for years and now runs to eighteen shades, mostly carefully spaced neutrals and metallics with a few strong notes among them. 140 cm wide, made in Italy.
