Acanthus Stripe takes the classical acanthus leaf and abstracts it into a stylised vertical repeat, the motif rendered lightly so the stripe reads as airy and open rather than heavy or formal. The design is straightforward to use and works equally well as a lead pattern or a supporting one. It is also available as a wallpaper.
Woven and printed in the United Kingdom, the cloth is 55 per cent linen and 45 per cent cotton, 137 centimetres wide, with a repeat of 13 centimetres vertically and 27 horizontally. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is offered in seven colourways.
