Acanthus Stripe Velvet is a devoré velvet in which the pile has been selectively removed to leave a striped pattern with soft texture and dimension. The effect is light and airy rather than heavy, the stripe reading as a gentle variation in surface rather than a bold contrast. The design is part of Schumacher's Atelier Paris collection.
Woven in Italy from cotton and polyester, it is 138 centimetres wide with a 9-centimetre vertical repeat and an 18-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is available in three colourways.
