Schumacher | Adia Sheer Embroidery

Adia Sheer Embroidery is a scrolling allover pattern worked in chain-stitch embroidery on a featherweight linen ground, the curvilinear design reading at a mid-scale with a 42-centimetre vertical and 43-centimetre horizontal repeat. The embroidery sits on a sheer ground, so the pattern is visible from both sides and the cloth filters light while still providing decoration.

It is made in India from linen with rayon embroidery, 132 centimetres wide. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits curtains and blinds, particularly soft Romans, where the sheer ground and embroidered detail work together to diffuse light and add pattern without weight.
