Schumacher | Alexandrite

Alexandrite is a feathered wall covering in which natural plumage is gathered and applied by hand, feather by feather, to form a richly textured surface. The iridescent quality of the material shifts through vivid jewel tones, the colour reading differently as you move past or as daylight changes.

Made in Taiwan, each panel is 99 centimetres wide and just over three metres long, sold individually. It should be vacuumed only, using a soft brush to protect the feathers. The hand-applied construction means each panel carries slight variation, and the depth of texture casts its own shadow across the wall.
