Alva Hand Block Print is a hand-woven linen with vertical stripes, each adorned with block-printed rows of feathery, fern-like leaves. The printing is done by hand, so the pattern has the slight irregularities and ink variations that come with the process, giving the cloth a homespun, artisan character rather than mechanical precision.
It is made in India from 100 per cent linen, 132 centimetres wide, with a vertical repeat of just 2 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 8 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is available in six colourways.
