Amir Handwoven Silk Casement is a featherweight raw silk made entirely by hand in India, from the harvest and spinning of the fibre through to weaving, dyeing and finishing. The result is a cloth with irregular slubs, tonal variation and a hammered surface that catches light unevenly, all the marks of genuine handloom work. It hangs with a fluid, almost weightless drape that responds to the slightest movement of air.
Woven from pure silk, it is 135 centimetres wide with no repeat, part of the Patterson Flynn collection. The sheer satin construction makes it particularly suited to curtains, blinds and layered window treatments where its translucency and lustre can be seen to full effect. Dry cleaning is recommended, and it is available in a choice of colourways.
