Anatole is a chevron woven in a linen blend with a surprisingly soft hand given its hard-wearing construction. The zigzag is small in scale—a 2-centimetre vertical repeat and 3-centimetre horizontal—so it reads as texture from a distance and only resolves into geometry up close.
Woven in Belgium from 50 per cent polyamide, 25 per cent viscose, 17 per cent polyester and 8 per cent linen, it is 137 centimetres wide. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits cushions and upholstery in regular domestic use, where its durability and soft touch are both advantages.
