Animali is a damask-woven velvet revived from the archive and produced at one of Europe's oldest family mills, the pattern depicting flora and fauna in a fanciful, illustrative style. The weave gives the design dimension and a subtle sheen, and a hammered finish adds texture to the surface, making the cloth particularly effective at windows where the play of light brings out the detail.
Woven in Italy from linen, viscose and silk, it is 137 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 64 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 68 centimetres. It can be machine-washed up to 40 degrees and suits upholstery and cushions. The design is available in four colourways.
