Ankara is a large-scale diamond pattern woven with a subtle sheen, the tone-on-tone colouring reading as texture rather than contrast. The diamonds repeat in a chevron-like rhythm, the cloth soft to the touch yet built to work hard, the hint of lustre lifting what might otherwise be a purely geometric exercise into something quieter and more refined.
Woven in Italy from viscose and cotton, it is 139 centimetres wide with a 73-centimetre vertical repeat and 35-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. Suitable for upholstery and cushions, the jacquard construction gives the cloth both body and resilience in daily use.
