Schumacher | Anvers Damask

Anvers Damask is a large-scale jacquard damask, its pattern woven so that the motifs catch the light differently from the ground, giving the cloth a quiet lustre that shifts as you walk past. The repeat runs to 79 centimetres vertically and 70 horizontally, so the design needs space to read properly—full-length curtains or the back of a sizeable sofa.

It is woven in Italy from Trevira CS, a flame-retardant polyester, 140 centimetres wide. The fibre meets contract fire standards without aftertreatment, so the cloth suits both domestic and commercial settings. Dry clean. It works as upholstery, curtains, blinds or cushions, and the single colourway is azure.
