Schumacher | Aravali Patchwork

Aravali Patchwork draws on the tribal symbols and saturated palette of Berber rugs, weaving together checks, stripes and fine embroidered motifs into a single patchwork construction. Hand-dyed cotton yarns give the cloth a natural strié, so colour shifts gently across the surface and the geometry reads with depth rather than flatness.

Woven and embroidered in India, the cloth is four-fifths cotton with polyester for resilience, 135 centimetres wide with repeats of 48 by 45 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits upholstery and cushions where the patchwork structure can be appreciated at close range.
