Schumacher | Arles Embroidery

Arles Embroidery is a small-scale chevron worked in thread onto a linen-rich ground, the embroidery giving the geometric pattern a tactile, hand-worked quality. The chevron reads quietly, more as texture than as bold graphic, and the natural fibre base keeps the overall effect soft and unassuming.

Made in India from linen, polyester, cotton and viscose, it is 128 centimetres wide with a 3-centimetre repeat both vertically and horizontally. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits upholstery and cushions, where the embroidered surface adds interest without competing for attention, and the small repeat allows the pattern to sit comfortably on smaller pieces.
