Asaka Ikat is a relaxed, contemporary ikat printed on unbleached linen, the blurred edges and irregular geometry characteristic of the traditional resist-dye technique. The design has a loose, informal quality, the pattern reading as texture from a distance but revealing its structure up close. The palette is sophisticated, the natural linen ground anchoring the printed motif.
Printed in Italy on 100 per cent linen, it is 136 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of seventy-two centimetres and a horizontal repeat of thirty-four. The cloth has a substantial weight. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is offered in several colourways.
