Augustine Ikat is a warp-printed cloth in which the threads are dyed before weaving, producing the characteristic feathered edges of true ikat. The result is a mid-scale stripe with a softness and movement that printed ikat cannot achieve, the weave adding a fine sheen and a delicate hand. The vertical repeat is 36 centimetres, the horizontal 27 centimetres, so the pattern has presence without overwhelming smaller pieces.
Woven in Italy from a blend of linen and polyester, it is 144 centimetres wide and suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery. Dry cleaning is recommended. The design is available in three colourways.
