Schumacher | Aveline

Aveline draws on nineteenth-century Indian textiles, setting peacocks and a flowering vine into a composition of fine, fanciful detail. The design reads as both decorative and narrative, the birds and foliage rendered with a lightness that prevents the pattern from feeling heavy despite its figurative content. The 39 centimetre vertical and 42 centimetre horizontal repeats allow the motifs to breathe.

Printed in the United States, the wallcovering is 69 centimetres wide and sold by the metre from 9.14 metre rolls. It is spongeable and available in three colourways. The design suits rooms where a considered historical reference is wanted, or where a decorative pattern can be appreciated at close range—dressing rooms, studies or smaller reception spaces.
