Schumacher | Aveline Linen

Aveline Linen is a hand-printed design inspired by nineteenth-century Indian textiles, showing peacocks and a flowering vine rendered with fine, almost fanciful detail. The pattern has a regal quality without formality, the birds and tendrils moving across the cloth with the kind of rhythm that comes from hand-block printing. The vertical repeat is 104 centimetres, so the design needs room to unfold.

Printed by hand in Thailand on pure linen, it is 137 centimetres wide with a horizontal repeat of 69 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. It is available in three colourways and suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, where the linen's weight and the hand-printed character give the cloth a lived-in quality from the start.
