Ayan Tape is a woven ribbon with a rectilinear plaid pattern and fine ticking stripes worked into the cloth. Made on a traditional needle loom, it has the irregular hand and slight texture of handwoven fabric, the cotton and linen giving it a natural, unfinished quality. At seven centimetres wide it sits comfortably as a border or inset band.
Woven in India from cotton and linen, the tape has a vertical repeat of six centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, cushions and upholstery, applied as edging or trim, and is available in three colourways.
