Backgammon Cut Velvet takes its pointed, alternating geometry from the pips on a backgammon board, designed by Mary McDonald. The pattern is woven as cut velvet, so the pile catches light against the flat ground, and the mid-scale repeat brings a playful, graphic rhythm to upholstery and cushions without overwhelming them.
Woven in India from 78% viscose and 22% polyester, it is 138 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 8 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 67 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits cushions and upholstery, and is available in five colourways.
