Barlow is a dobby weave that reads as delicate embroidery but is woven at upholstery weight, so the surface has the irregularity of hand-stitching without the fragility. The diminutive pattern, a scatter of tiny stitched marks, gives the cloth a quiet, worked texture that sits comfortably in both traditional and more relaxed schemes.
Woven in India from cotton, it is 132 centimetres wide with a 3-centimetre vertical repeat and 2-centimetre horizontal repeat. Dry cleaning is recommended. The construction makes it suitable for upholstery as well as curtains, blinds and cushions, and it is offered in a wide range of colourways.
