Schumacher | Bauxite

Bauxite is composed of natural feathers, hand-gathered and layered panel by panel to create a dense, textural surface with a warm tonal palette and a natural sheen. The feathers are arranged in broken, random stripes, so the pattern has movement and irregularity built into its structure—no two panels read quite the same.

Made in Taiwan, each panel is 99 centimetres wide and just over three metres in length, sold individually. It is a wallcovering, and care is by vacuuming only with a soft brush to preserve the feathers.
