Schumacher | Bergama Appliqué

Bergama Appliqué is a large-scale appliqué derived from an antique panel, the pattern running along the edges of a solid linen ground. The design can be detached or used with the plain Bergama fabric, so it functions as both a border and a standalone cloth. The appliqué has a handmade quality, the embroidery adding texture and dimension.

It is made in India from 50% linen, 45% cotton, 4% viscose and 1% polyester, 134 centimetres wide, with a vertical repeat of 13 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 134 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. The cloth suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and the border design works particularly well on curtain edges and cushion trims.
