Berkeley is a modern adaptation of an eighteenth-century geometric floral, inspired by a silk velvet suit in the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation archive. The medium-scale pattern has a mottled texture and fresco-like quality, its unique patterning reading as both historical and contemporary on the wall.
Made in the United States, it is 69 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 26 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 23 centimetres, sold by the metre in 9.14-metre rolls. The surface is spongeable. It is suitable for wallcovering and is also available as a fabric.
