Berkeley Tape Wide is an embroidered trim with a leaf-like motif worked in satin stitch across its width. The pattern, drawn from the Schumacher archive, has an exuberant, almost folk-art quality, the raised stitching catching the light and giving texture to edges and seams. At eight centimetres wide it makes a confident border.
Made in India, the tape is embroidered on a ground of cotton and spun polyester. It has a vertical repeat of two centimetres and a horizontal repeat of three centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, cushions and upholstery, applied as edging or inset detail, and is offered in a wide range of colourways.
