Bermuda Check is woven using a double-beam technique that produces a satin stripe within the check, so the surface shifts between matt and sheen depending on the angle of the light. This gives the cloth a certain formality, yet the check itself remains straightforward and unfussy, capable of working in both relaxed and more dressed schemes.
Woven in India entirely of cotton, it is 135 centimetres wide with both vertical and horizontal repeats of 4 centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery, and is available in several colourways.
