Betty sets tulips, roses and ranunculi into a climbing trellis of branches, the flowers drawn with the clarity and colour of chintz but printed here as wallpaper. The design works at a generous scale—a 56-centimetre vertical repeat and 69-centimetre horizontal—so the pattern reads as a considered botanical rather than a busy floral.
It is printed in the United States on paper 138 centimetres wide, sold by the metre from rolls just over seven metres long. The paper is spongeable and suited to walls where a full floral pattern is wanted. The design is also available as a cotton chintz fabric.
