Schumacher | Birmingham Silk Plaid

Birmingham Silk Plaid sets a chevron plaid at a modest eleven-centimetre repeat, woven in pure silk so the satin ground and jacquard structure catch the light differently across the geometry. The scale is domestic rather than grand, and the interplay of sheen and shadow gives the pattern quiet movement.

Woven in India from one hundred per cent silk, it is 137 centimetres wide with both vertical and horizontal repeats of eleven centimetres. Dry cleaning is recommended. It suits curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery where a silk cloth is appropriate.
