Bixi Velvet is a fantastical chinoiserie dragon, worked in dense pile and loop accents that give the pattern both depth and texture. The design was drawn in Schumacher's own studio, and the interplay of cut and uncut velvet means the dragon catches light differently as you move around the room, so the creature seems to shift and breathe.
Woven in Belgium from viscose, cotton and polyester, it is 138 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 68 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 35 centimetres. The cloth suits upholstery, curtains, blinds and cushions, and should be dry-cleaned. It is offered in nine colourways.
