Blair Silk Épinglé is a velvet derived from a fragment of an eighteenth-century man's suit worn in Williamsburg, with a geometric pattern built from dense cotton pile against a smooth silk ground. The contrast between the two surfaces gives the design its textural interest, and the 17-centimetre repeat allows the geometry to read clearly across upholstery and curtains alike.
Woven in India, the cloth is 87 per cent cotton and 13 per cent silk, 139 centimetres wide. It is suitable for upholstery and cushions, and is offered in several colourways. Dry cleaning is recommended.
