Born for Water was created with Kevin Aspaas, a Diné weaver, fibre artist, shepherd and farmer based in Shiprock, New Mexico, on the Navajo Nation. The design incorporates the symbolic Spider Woman Cross motif and colours that suggest the four seasons, woven into a medium-scale geometric pattern with a heavy, blanket-like construction that brings both texture and narrative into a room.
Woven in the United States from 74% wool and 26% cotton, it is 136 centimetres wide with a vertical repeat of 27 centimetres and a horizontal repeat of 17 centimetres. It suits cushions and upholstery, is available in three colourways, and dry cleaning is recommended.
