Schumacher | Born for Water Pillow

Born for Water is a collaboration with Kevin Aspaas, a Diné weaver, fibre artist, shepherd and farmer based in Shiprock, New Mexico, on the Navajo Nation. The medium-scale jacquard weave incorporates the symbolic Spider Woman Cross motif of the Navajo Nation, with colours that suggest the four seasons. The heavy blanket-like construction brings textural pattern and a considered geometry to the room.

Woven in the United States from a blend of wool and cotton, the cushion is 56 centimetres square and finished with a knife edge, a down and feather insert and a concealed zip. Dry cleaning is recommended.
