Schumacher | Braided Buri

Braided Buri is a wallcovering of hand-braided buri palm fibre laid in subtle stripes against a natural ground, the braiding giving a rhythmic, tactile quality to the surface. The material and method bring an unforced, coastal simplicity to interiors, the texture softening walls without pattern in the conventional sense.

Made in South Korea, it is 91 centimetres wide and sold by the metre, with rolls running to just over three and a half metres. Vacuum only with a soft brush to maintain the integrity of the palm fibre. Available in two colourways.
