Broderie evokes the delicacy of openwork embroidery and the spontaneity of line drawing, its looping, stylised forms based on an original drawing made in Backdrop's Los Angeles studio. Digitally printed onto a fibrous ground, the medium-scale pattern has a richly textured surface and a graceful, artisanal quality that reads as handmade.
Made in the United States, it is 69 centimetres wide with a 74-centimetre vertical repeat and a 69-centimetre horizontal repeat. Sold by the metre from rolls of 9.14 metres, it is spongeable and suited to walls where movement and craft are wanted. The design is available in three colourways.
